What is Natural Hygiene?
The whole concept of natural cleansing is not new at all. In fact, the topic of something called natural hygiene has been around since the 1800’s and early 1900’s, if not longer. In theory, many ills and diseases are actually the body’s response to an unbalanced state. The illness may actually be a symptom of a body trying to cleanse itself.
What Is Illness?
Many acute illnesses cause symptoms that are actually the results of the body trying to cleanse itself. If you are not hungry when you have a cold, your body may be telling you to refuse food for awhile so it does not have to expend energy digesting it while it is working on healing itself. If you have a runny nose, nausea, diahrea, etc., this can be your body’s way of trying to clean itself, and those symptoms are not the disease itself.
How Does Natural Hygiene Help Keep Us Healthy?
As made popular in the diet book, Fit for Life, natural hygiene does consist of keeping your body clean through consuming more raw food like fruits and vegetables. That is only one part of the philosopy, but a very important part for most of us. One good piece of advice I read about grocery shopping was to stick to the outside aisles of the grocery store. That is where the food, like produce, fish, and dairy, are stored. And avoid the inside aisles where additive filled junk food is displayed.
Is Diet Enough For Natural Hygiene?
The problem is that most of us do not have total control over own diets. Why commute to work, eat in restaurants, and lack time to prepare the sourt of “from scratch” meals we should be eating and feeding our families. That is where the benefits of natural colon cleanse supplements are really obvious. We should be able to get what we need from out diets, but when we don’t, we can supplement our diets to help!
